Horses can be dropped off beginning Friday, May 8 at 8:00 a.m. at Woodward Livestock Auction.

The open ride preview will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 8th at the Woodward Round Up Club Arena. We will have ranch trail equipment and cattle available. Riders can choose how to spend their allotted time in the arena.

The sale will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 and will be streamed through DV Auction.

Anna is one of the prettiest buckskin mares you’ll ever see. We’ve owned her since she was two years old so we know everything there is to know about her. She is gentle and will suit a large variety of folks. She’s broke to death and has been used extensively on the ranch. She’s been roped on. She’s a great trail horse. She is a really pretty mover and looks gorgeous under English tack. She will be your best friend.

Scooter is the one you want to take to the jackpots and outside work. He’s been there done that – from the 13 and down for a beginner or your high numbered guy. 100 percent in every way always willing to please he will pack anyone around.

Smoked Song (“Hollywood”) is a ‘22 model bay AQHA gelding standing 13.3 HH. That is absolutely gentle, We have been tracking calves around the arena and have rope some breakaway calves out of the box and have heeled a few out of the box as well.

Zan Parr Rosa Peppy

Zan Parr Rosa Peppy (“Ruby”) is a 2019 AQHA red roan mare standing 15.2 hands with a solid, durable build.

She’s a gritty, all-day ranch mare that can handle a full day’s work and then some. This is a tough, seasoned mare that’s sound and completely broke, ready to go to work wherever you need her.

EF BLACK SMOKIN GUN

Boomer is a big, thick, and easy going 5 year old gelding. Eye catching black bald faced and tons of shape. He was started in a reining program as a 2 year old, and has been ranched on ever since. He has had lots of miles, and has gathered plenty of rough country. Stands good for a farrier and is 100% sound ready to go however you please. Stands 14.3.

Dylan’s Darlin 2025 Grade Sorrel Filly

Sired by Little Dulces Rey (Dual Rey x Little Badger Dulce) and out of an own daughter of CD Olena, but paperwork is unavailable on her dam; therefore, she sells as a grade. Exceptionally well-balanced, attractive, athletic filly that is halter-broken and gentle. She is very smart, willing, and should be easy to train. Outstanding cowhorse performance prospect.

Grandpa’s Red Darlin

Grandpa’s Red Darlin 2011 Grade Sorrel Mare
Own daughter of CD Olena, out of a daughter of Smart Little Lena, but unfortunately her paperwork was lost years ago and grandpa chose not to find them. Cute, athletic made, 14.1 hand mare that had raised numerous foals that have all made outstanding ranch and roping horses. She is reproductively sound. Weaned a nice filly by Little Dulces Rey in 2025. Was not bred for a 2026 foal. Was trained as a cutter as a 3 & 4 year old, rides handy and is still trail ridden occasionally.

MAGNUMS LIL STAR

MAGNUMS LIL STAR is a 6 year old AQHA sorrel gelding, standing 15.0hh. Magnum started his career in the reining and has since been used for a little of everything! Scooter is a 7 year old sorrel gelding he stands 15.1 hands and weighs approximately 1250 lbs. he had his start and was showed in the cutting earning himself a LTE of $4600. He has since been used for all aspects around the ranch including doctoring, sorting, checking fences, catching wild cattle he has been used in the sale barns and also at the ranch rodeos. We’ve hauled him to a few sortings as well. Scooter will go as slow or as fast as u want to go he is a tried and true gelding that would be an asset to anyone’s program. COL DOC TIVIO – 2009 AQHA Sorrel Mare

Sired by MR Col Question, AQHA performance producer, by the legendary cowhorse sire COLONEL FRECKLES. Her dam’s sire is by another AQHA legend & Hall of Famer, DOC O’LENA. This good mare has produced numerous outstanding foals and is currently bred to a big stout Palomino Stallion, Wills Golden Fox, producer of multiple successful performance & using horses. She is quiet, gentle, easy to handle and rides good. She’s been used on the ranch, ridden in parades and trail rode everywhere.

WS BAYLEO JET ROSE

WS BAYLEO JET ROSE – 2024 AQHA Bay Mare

Sired by Wills Golden Fox who is a big athletic, old school running-cowhorse cross. Producer of multiple, successful performances horses and using horses. Her Dam’s sire is Gray Deck Leo, another legendary performer and performance producer. Clean legged, correct and sound. This beautiful bay filly is very quiet and gentle. She has been handled a lot. Saddled, ponied longed and is ready to ride.

Sancho

Sancho is a 2021 grade paint gelding standing 12hh with a flashy look and a big presence. He’s built like he should weigh 1,300 lbs and rides around the barn good. Sancho has been ridden through wheat fields, down the road, and across bridges. This is a very fancy little pony with the kind of shape and ability to make a real one for a young cowboy.

Pocos Silver Picasso

Pocos Silver Picasso is a 2022 APHA registered grullo gelding standing 15.2 hh. He’s got a flashy look and all the right pieces.

Art has been sitting on the back burner until lately. He is one of those full-made, well-put-together young geldings that is all there. He’s ready for a job and to make a ranch horse.

AAR Quick Trigger

AAR Quick Trigger is a 2021 AQHA bay gelding standing 14.3hh with a lot of athletic ability.

Jesse has been ridden off and on since last fall and has a solid start. He short lopes collected circles, has a good stop, and wants to plant a foot and turn around. He’s not finished but shows all the right pieces to go on and be a really nice one on the ranch or in the arena.

Goldie

Goldie is a 2011 model palomino grade mare standing 15.0hh. She has been broke to ride but has been turned out for over a year.

Note: she may not have full sight in her left eye.

Slingshot

Slingshot is a 14-year-old sorrel grade pony gelding standing 13.2hh.

He’s a jack of all trades: been used in playdays and has experience in goats, barrels, and poles. He’s also been used outside moving, sorting, and working cattle.

He can be roped off of, trails a dummy, but does not love coming out of a roping box. He has more go than whoa, needs a handy rider that is in control.

If you’re looking for a step-up pony with experience and ability, Slingshot fits the bill.

HC Tapt That

HC Tapt That – 2024 Sorrel AQHA Mare

This 2-year-old sorrel mare is bred to get you to the pay window.
She’s halter broke, gentle, and the kind that will meet you in the middle of the pasture. Good-minded with the right start and ready to go on.

She’s bred to be a cutter, with both sides of her dam carring NCHA earnings. This is one ready to head to the trainer and get rolling.

Palo Duro Dixie Cat

Dixie sells as a two-in-one package – she’s a 2020 buckskin AQHA mare in foal with a colt on her side.

Dixie stands 14.2 hands and is the kind that’s easy to be around, is quiet, gentle, and always in your back pocket wanting attention. She was started as a 2-year-old by a cutting trainer and has a good foundation. As a yearling, she injured a hind leg, but she is sound on that leg.

On her side is her first baby, and she is a great mama. The colt is by The Big O and was born March 30. He’s already been handled, will pick up his feet, and has been rubbed on. The Big O is a proven ranch and roping stud known for his quiet, good-minded disposition and he passes that on to his colts.

Spadesbama Blue

Yeller is a 2023 AQHA registered palomino gelding standing 15 hands and has a solid start.

This young gelding has been used to gather cattle on the ranch and has had a few roped on. Ready to go in any direction and have a job.

Maverick

Maverick is a standout 6-year-old grade gelding standing 15.1hh. He has a kind and gentle disposition and is the type anyone can ride. He’s the first to meet you at the gate and you can catch him virtually anywhere. He has a true one hand neck rein and will go anywhere you point him. Dunny is a cute and shapey little 6 yr old Dun Roan mare. She has a great foundation in the arena. Dunny has been out on the ranch and doctored cattle in the wheat pasture. She has been exposed to as sorts of livestock , machinery and traffic. Dunny has spent most of her time out on the trail riding alone. She gets along with everyone well in the pasture. Thunder is a 2015 black miniature gelding that can be ridden alone or on a lead line.

A 6-year-old rides him around. Miniature horse personality. No buck, kick, or bite.

Snow

13.2 hands pony mare. 12 years old. Owned for 6 years. Previous owns teenage daughter ran barrels on her. Has tracked dummy, gathered, and sorted cows. She is not for a beginner. She is a mare and can be a little hot. No buck, bite, or kick.

Peppy

Peppy is a 5-year-old black grade gelding with a really good handle and a kind, willing attitude. He’s the kind that’s gentle, easy to get along with, and wants to please. Peppy would make a great heel horse or breakaway prospect with the foundation he already has. This is a nice young gelding that fits a wide range of riders and is ready to go on in any direction you choose.

Remington

Remington is a good looking, 10-year-old gelding with a big heart and no quit. He spent the majority of his life being a driving horse, both single and double, until he was started as a riding horse last year. Since then he’s been rode in and out of the arena. He’s been on long trail rides, moved cattle and rode thru town. Remington is a really cool gelding that would make an excellent ranch horse in no time.

Roany is a stout, good-made red roan crossbred gelding that’s been raised and used on an Amish farm.
He rides around good, stays gentle, and is ready to go on and get a job done. This is the kind that’s been used, not just started—solid-minded and easy to be around.

Saw How Impulsive

Saw How Impulsive is a 2020 chestnut gelding that’s triple registered with AQHA, APHA, and NSBA, and is eligible to be registered Pinto.

Standing a solid 16 hands, Abe is a big, pretty mover that’s super smooth at all three gaits. He has been professionally trained and lightly shown, giving him a great foundation without being overused.

This is a versatile gelding that can go in multiple directions. Can fit him for the all-around, show him in both Western and English events, or take him home and put him to work.

Heza Pocoleo Breeze is a 2021 AQHA grullo (blue dun) gelding standing 15.0 hands with a lot of shape and eye appeal.

Cole is a nice started ranch horse that’s been handled right and is ready to keep going. He’s gentle, good-minded, and the kind that’s easy to be around.

Bikini Ready

Bikini Ready is a 2013 bay gelding that’s as big and eye-catching as they come. Standing 16.2 hands, he’s a pretty mover with the size, presence, and versatility to go in several directions.

He’s worn a lot of hats—started out checking fence as a young horse, then went on to be a dependable mount in a lesson program, helping teach young riders. He’s also stepped in the show pen himself and knows his job.

Juice has been day worked since late in his 2-year-old year, handling everything from back pens and feedlots to roping big cattle out on pasture. He’s the kind that shows up every day and goes to work, with plenty of pull to the horn and the kind of try you can’t teach.

Solanos Gold Cat is a 2020 AQHA palomino gelding standing 15.3 hands and weighing ~1,200 lbs. He’s the kind of all-around ranch horse that’s been there and done it.

Dusty has seen plenty of real work, used in the feedyard, gathered cattle all the way out to New Mexico, sorted cattle, doctored and shipped yearlings, and been part of draggings and competed in ranch rodeos. He’s also been started on the head side and is ready to be finished your way.

Toast at Holme is a 2004 AQHA sorrel mare selling exposed with a strong, proven pedigree. She is sired by AQHA 2-Year-Old Running Horse of the Year, TOAST TO DASH SI 111, earner of $533,000+ and a $20+ million sire. Her dam is an own daughter Rocket Wrangler, a name that speaks for itself.

She was previously used for barrels and poles. She has also been used to gather pastures and has been used as a turnback horse in the cutting pen. She is quiet and gentle, best suited for a more advanced rider, but is capable of packing around a handy kid.

Big Jake

Big Jake is a 2022 model Belgium/Percheron cross gelding standing 16+ hands. He has been used for all aspects of ranch work, including dragging calves, riding pens, loading trucks, and dragging bulls to the trailer. He’s dependable, never lets you down, and knows how to cover big country. Big Jake has a smooth, rocking horse lope and wants to stop like a little horse. He’s gentle and guaranteed 100% sound.

Brutus

Brutus is a 4-year-old crossbred, grade buckskin gelding standing 15.2 hands with a gentle, easy-going personality.

He has been used on the ranch for loading, sorting, and checking cattle, and handles a day’s work with ease. Despite his age, he is quiet and level-headed. Brutus rides well outside and is confident on the trails, crossing water, logs, and other obstacles without issue. He has a nice lope, a good collected stop, and a smooth one-hand turnaround.

Dazzle

Dazzle is a beautiful 12 hand dapple gray mare with a long, eye-catching mane and nice shape. She is sound and best suited for a handy youth rider. Dazzle moves out well and can easily keep up with the big horses. She is smart, willing, and wants to please, making her a good match for a confident rider.

Note: Dazzle has an old minor jaw injury that does not affect her ability to eat or perform.

He has a big motor, and a full day’s work is nothing new to him.

Chester

Chester is a 12-year-old ranch gelding standing 14.2 hands, with plenty of shape and eye-catching color.

He’s the kind you can do anything on around the ranch. Chester is quiet, gentle, and suitable for anyone who can ride. He has never bucked since we’ve owned him, even when getting on him fresh.
He is safe for riders of all levels and stays consistent every time.

Chester is 100% sound with no bad habits and no surprises.

Don’t Cross Duel

Red is a three-year-old filly that is double bred Dual Pep and out of a daughter of Dual Pep. She is quiet, started really well, and has been ridden outside extensively on the trails. She has a good foundation and a willing mindset.

She did get sick over the winter and lost a significant amount of weight, so she is not currently in excellent sale condition. However, she is gaining weight back and is on the upswing.

With her pedigree and start, this filly has a lot of potential. If you’re looking for a genuine diamond in the rough, she is one to take a look at – she just needs some feed and a little TLC.

Rusty

Rusty is a 7-year-old sorrel gelding standing 14.2 hands and is gentle enough for the whole family.

He has been used for all aspects of ranch work, including sorting cattle, roping in the pasture, and riding on a loose rein while checking cows. Rusty is a finished heel horse that gives you a consistent shot every time. He is easy to catch on and never gets hot. He is great on the trails and will go wherever you point him.

Rusty has no buck and has never gotten fresh with us, even with time off. He is 100% sound and has no bad habits.

Gunslinging Gal

Nova is a AQHA-registered black mare with two standout qualities: she is beautiful and she is gentle. She has the ability to move out when asked but is happiest traveling slow on a loose rein.

Nova side passes, opens gates, and is easy to ride one-handed, making her a great option for a family horse. She’s the kind you can relax on, even talk on the phone while riding. She has been used to sort cattle in the pens and has also been roped on in the pasture. Nova is 100% sound with no bad habits. She is easy to catch and good to be around.

Silver

Silver is a nice, big, gentle, 11-year-old ranch gelding. He stands 15.1 hands. He sells 100% sound with no bad habits.

Silver has a nice big bone, he has never bucked or got fresh with us even with time off. You can ride him quiet on a loose rein and has been used to doctor cattle on the ranch. He also great on trails.

Brutus

Brutus is a 6-year-old, 1300-pound, black crossbred grade gelding standing 15.2hh. He is 100% sound with absolutely zero bad habits. He’s big enough to drag whatever you rope, has a really smooth lope, and a nice handle. Has a good mouth, and is an excellent pick up and bull dragging horse. He is great for ranch work and awesome on the trails!

Miss Poco Watch JDAR

2025 Sorrel Filly – JD stands tied and halter broke and picks up all four feet. She will be able to go in any direction of performance. We own her sire and dam and both have been used extensively on the ranch. Filly is very quit and would make great kid horse when she finished. Roosters Boonsmal

Roosters Boonsmal is a big, stout April 30, 2024 gray colt with the kind of build and look that stands out.

He has had approximately 45 days of riding and is showing a great mind, making him easy to get along with and straightforward to train. He’s a natural mover with plenty of feel and balance.

With his pedigree and foundation, he has the tools to go in any direction—rope horse, cow horse, ranch horse, or a solid all-around mount.
He’s got the bone, foot, and presence to last, and the kind of start that sets him up for a bright future.
